Mountains and wilderness serve as paper; unconstrained intuition as brush. All things bear no fixed names, all forms exist in unbound freedom.

*The entire base paper originates from a traditional workshop at the foot of the Gaoligong Mountains. Mr. Zero completes the full ancient papermaking process independently.

Untitled is a large-format contemporary abstract mixed-media artwork built upon natural raw materials. Its core artistic characteristics fall into three parts:

1. Material Base: Constructing an Unbounded Primitive Visual Field

The piece uses unrefined handmade bark paper as its base. Leveraging the naturally rough fiber texture, it forms an open, boundless visual space with no fixed focal point.

2. Creative Expression: Stripping Away Artificial Narratives and Subjective Order

Layers of deconstructed multilingual symbols overlap on the surface, completely shedding textual meaning, readable context and narrative functions, allowing lines, color blocks and imprints to return to their pure visual essence. Throughout the creation process, the artist abandons subjective compositional plans, artificial layout rules and rigid expressive intentions. Breaking free from established painting conventions, visual hierarchies and one- dimensional interpretive frameworks, the naturally unrestrained imagery erases divides between primary and secondary elements, thematic boundaries and artificial cognitive distinctions.

3. Visual Closure: Cultural Marks Balancing the Chaotic Core of the Composition

The cinnabar seal on the surface abandons its conventional role as a signature or artist marker. Serving as a lasting cultural imprint inherent to the material, it balances the vast disordered, chaotic and free texture of the painting. Rooted in mountain-sourced handmade raw paper, the work integrates water-based pigments, mineral paints and seal carving as diverse mediums. Adopting a contemporary abstract language stripped of narrative, definition and central focus, it unites organic handcrafted texture, multi-faceted visual symbols and boundless visual expression. It ultimately takes shape as a pure visual work detached from storytelling, logic and subjective interpretation, restoring visual art to its authentic state free of extrinsic definitions.
